How to Take a Screenshot on the Galaxy S6

Sometimes being able to capture a screenshot on your Galaxy S6 can be invaluable. You may need photographic evidence of a certain text someone sent you or a high score you achieved on a game. Whatever the case, this is where being able to take a screenshot comes in handy.

Fortunately, taking a screenshot on your Galaxy S6 is very simple. On top of that, there are two ways to do it:

All this method consists of is pressing the home button and the power button at the same time. This must be done simultaneously or your device will simply shut off or take you back to the home screen.

When you've done this successfully, the screen will flash, letting you know that your screenshot has been saved.

Galaxy S6 Screenshot Swipe Method

This next method can be argued as either being easier or more difficult. It consists of simply swiping your hand over the top of the screen. But to have it work properly you must have this motion enabled in your settings. Here's how to do that:

Now all that needs to be done to take a screenshot is to simply turn your hand on its side and swipe it across the screen.

Finding Your Screenshot

All your screenshots can be found in the Gallery app. From here you can view, edit, and manage your screenshots in other ways.

Have fun sharing your screenshots and be sure to try out both methods of taking them to choose your favorite. Enjoy!
